As well as the main plenary sessions and the six seminar sessions there is also an exhibition area separate to the plenary. With 25 of the top industry service providers there, delegates are able to enjoy excellent networking opportunities throughout the day.
The exhibition spaces vary from organisation to organisation, there are opportunities to have demonstration areas and displays to ensure that delegates get the most out their day and that the service providers have the chance to showcase what they do and highlight there role within government plans.
On arrival delegates are welcomed at the entrance by GovNet staff to collect badges and the event guide which lists all details listing all details of the day as well as profiles of speakers.
Global Food Security was one of our exhibitors at last years and event and can be seen here taking full advantage of our excellent networking opportunities.
BAE Systems was Science and Innovation 2011’s headline sponsor and not only exhibited but also spoke in the main plenary in front of 350/400 delegates.
Lord Willis of Knaresborough, Member of House of Lords Science and Technology Committee presented the opening remarks to begin Science and Innovations main plenary morning session.
Dominique Ristori, Director General, European Commission, Joint Research Centre present ‘The Role of Science in Support of EU Policies’ in front of 350/400 delegates in his main plenary session.

After the main plenary session all of our headline speakers take part in a panel discussion allowing delegates to ask questions about their sessions as well as questions about up and coming projects within the public sector and Government bodies.
All our conferences have an exhibition area allowing public sector and private sector to network together, the exhibition area is extremely busy between plenary and seminar sessions providing the delegates with a break and a chance to share their knowledge.
Delegates have the opportunity to attend two out of our six seminar sessions, before and after lunch, allowing them to have variety in their day and providing them with the chance to choose which seminar would benefit them the most. Each session will have around 40 – 50 delegates in them.

A very powerful day. It made me reflect that our choices whilst in Education can affect your career for life ie STEM subjects and the different reasons in society why children are not chosing these subjects.
